Mae Phun Waterfall
A multi-tiered rock waterfall you can swim in · Shaded nature in the heart of Laplae
A favourite getaway for the people of Laplae — water cascading down tier after tier, cool and crystal clear, where the whole family can swim.
About Mae Phun Waterfall
Mae Phun Waterfall is in Ban Ton Kluea, Mae Phun subdistrict, Laplae district, about 20 kilometres from Uttaradit city. It sits right along Highway 1043 and is easy to reach by car.
Its distinctive feature is that it's a "man-made" waterfall — concrete was laid so that water from the high hills cascades down in many tiers, looking much like a natural falls. Each tier has a shallow pool you can safely wade and play in.
The surroundings are shaded by large trees, with mat-spread areas to sit and rest and local-food stalls on hand. It's popular with families and groups of friends who come to relax and enjoy the cool breeze.
