Frequently Asked Questions — Exploring Laplae & Staying at Hua Dum Resort

Common questions for anyone planning a trip to Laplae–Uttaradit and booking a stay at Hua Dum Resort. Have another question? Message us on LINE @huadumresort or call 099-5029339 anytime.

Hua Dum Resort is at No. 102, Chai Chumphon subdistrict, Laplae district, Uttaradit province. It's right in the heart of Laplae, about 8 kilometres from Uttaradit city and the train station — a handy base for exploring Laplae and Uttaradit.

It's only about 3 kilometres from Wat Phra Thaen Sila At, roughly a 5-minute drive — ideal for merit-makers and older travellers who want to stay near the temple. We don't run a resort shuttle, but we're happy to suggest routes and local transport pick-up points.

Every room is air-conditioned. Single rooms start at ฿450 and twin rooms at ฿600 per night, including a homemade breakfast, with hot water, Wi-Fi and parking.

The easiest way is via LINE @huadumresort (https://lin.ee/sgQXBb1) or by calling 099-5029339 or 095-8684714. We recommend booking ahead during festivals and fruit season.

You can cover the main sights of Laplae in a single day, but if you've driven a long way or want to take it slow, we suggest staying a night so you can rise early to make merit and easily continue to Uttaradit city or Sirikit Dam the next day.

Long Laplae and Lin Laplae durian (GI) ripen naturally once a year, roughly May–July, with mid-season (June) usually bringing the most fruit and better prices. It varies with the weather each year.

You can come by northern train (getting off at Uttaradit station in the city centre), by tour coach/intercity bus, or self-drive. It's about 491 km (~6 hrs) from Bangkok and about 270 km (~4 hrs) from Chiang Mai; from the city it's another 8 km or so on into Laplae.
